Dr. André Sims
Teaching Pastor

Born in Detroit and raised in Chicago, André once had the chance to play professional football but chose ministry instead. Mentored by Dr. Tony Evans during his doctoral studies at Dallas Theological Seminary, André has spent more than 30 years in pastoral ministry, including 21 years as Senior Pastor at Christ the King Bible Fellowship.

Today, he serves as Teaching Pastor at Faith Church while also walking out a seasonal role as Chaplain for the jockeys at Emerald Downs. Known by some as the “Soul Hound,” André loves to share the Gospel and enjoys golf in his free time.

He and his wife Kathy, his favorite travel companion, are most proud of their two adult children (Josiah and Janaé) and their authentic Jesus Journey. Fun fact: in May 2025, André broke the AAU WA State & U.S. National Bench Press Record in his age and weight class.
